This vegan version of the famous drink is called Baileys Almande, and has been released in the UK following its success in the US.
Baileys Almande replaces the cream in the traditional version of Baileys with an almond drink, almond oil and vanilla essence. A blend that creates a “smooth and almondy” taste.
Laura Pearce, Marketing Director for Baileys at Diageo, explained, “Baileys is one of the UK’s best-loved drinks brands, and we wanted to create something that can also be enjoyed by those who don’t want to or can’t drink dairy. Since Baileys Almande was launched in the U.S., we have received numerous requests to make it available in the U.K. as well. We are delighted to report that that time has come.”
